On Thursday night Tel Aviv celebrated the annual “White Night” which marks the declaration by UNESCO (June 2003) that the inner-city of Tel Aviv will be a ‘World Heritage’ site. The whole city becomes alive with free concerts, shows, parties and loads more……there is even a 5.30am yoga class at the port. Every Tel Aviv resident, whatever their age, takes part and comes out to soak up the atmosphere, it is definitely an event not to be missed.

Neve Tzedek is definitely my favourite area in Tel Aviv. It was the first neighborhood built in the “new” city of Tel Aviv back in 1887, and has recently started being restored to its former beauty after years of neglect. It is absolutely charming and very stylish with several boutiques, galleries, wine bars and incredible restaurants. The roads are narrow and quiet with a village-like atmosphere, which feels a world away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets of Tel Aviv just a few minutes away. I always enjoy strolling around the quaint and pretty streets, admiring all of the interesting architecture, both during the day and in the evenings. Below is a photo of just one of the many beautiful buildings in the area.
